Bring Old Voices and Recordings Back to Life
A photograph can show you what someone looked like. An old recording can let you hear their voice again.
Memory Fortress provides professional audio transfer and digitization for cassettes, microcassettes, reel-to-reel tapes and vinyl records.
Your recordings are handled in-house by our own team and returned with digital files your family can listen to, save and share again.
What Audio Formats Can We Digitize?
Not sure what kind of recording you have? That is completely normal. These are some of the audio formats customers bring or ship to us most often.
How You Receive Your Audio
We convert your older recordings into easy-to-use digital audio so you can listen again, make copies and share with family.
Some Recordings Cannot Be Recreated
Old audio often holds things that photographs cannot: the sound of a parent’s voice, a child singing, a family interview, a wedding toast, a church service or a performance that happened only once.
Once those recordings are digitized, they become much easier to hear again, copy, organize and share with the people who will value them most.
- Parents or grandparents telling family stories
- Children speaking or singing when they were young
- Weddings, anniversaries and family gatherings
- School concerts, recitals and performances
- Church services, sermons and community events
- Personal messages recorded decades ago
- Original music and one-of-a-kind recordings
How Audio Transfer Works
You do not need to know the technical details. Send us your recordings, and our team handles the process from intake through delivery.
Audio Transfer Pricing
Most audio projects are priced by tape, record or reel, with simple delivery options for your finished recordings.
Damaged or Unusual Recordings?
Older audio can arrive with broken shells, loose tape, damaged reels or formats that are difficult to identify. Do not assume a recording is lost just because it looks rough.
Personal Recordings Are Usually the Best Fit
Most of the audio we digitize consists of family recordings, interviews, personal messages, performances and other one-of-a-kind material.
Commercially released music and other copyrighted recordings may be subject to copyright restrictions. If you are unsure whether we can transfer a particular recording, please contact us or call 678-579-2249 .
